Chinese Dinner Out & Quilt Lecture; January 7, 2008
The Gibson Center Bus picked people up at their homes, and brought them to the Peking Restaurant were all enjoyed the food. Afterwards the group attended a lecture at the Conway Library. Henry Barber spoke on his collection of Amish Quilts. This was especially interesting after our recent trip to Lancaster County Pa. where we admired many quilts.

Red Parka Pub Lunch, January 8, 2008
Every January, for as long a people remember, the Red Parka Pub has invited the Gibson Members for lunch. The staff volunteer their time, the Pub donates the food, and any money raised is put directly into the Gibson Centers Nutrition Department. This feeds the the Gibson Memebers twice! Thanks Terry & staff.

Highlight for Album: DiMillo's & Art Museum, January 22,2008
DiMillo's & Art Museum, January 22,2008
The Gibson Bus traveled to Portland Maine, where we ate lunch at DiMillo's Floating Restaurant, and then spent the afternoon at the Portland Museum of Fine Art. We were seated by the window at DiMillo's, where people watched the 4 prop planes fly over head, and the tankers and their tugs arrive in the harbor. There was a special display at the Museum, a man created sculptures using nails, some were welded and some were just balanced on eachother.

Skiing In the North Country, Snowman Art; donated January 24,2008
The Mount Washinton Way for Better Living sponsored the creation of this snowman, which was donated to the Gibson Center January 24,2008. Kennett High School student, Krystyna Laramie designed and painted the snowman. Knowing the snowman would be at the Gibson Center, she baised the painting on Harvey Dow Gibsons involvment in bringing Skiing to North Conway. She features the Ski Mobile, financed by Harvey and built by local George Morton. Stop by the Gibson Center to see the snowman. He is highly visible from our Dining Room. Lunch is served 11:30-12:15, Monday through Friday.
