The Gibson Center spent a plesant day in Sandwich NH. The Corner House opened just for us. What a fun place to look around! They had fires in all the fireplaces, which warmed our hearts as well as our bodies. After a delicious lunch, Diane Johnson from Soft Touch Farm brought over supplies so we could each create a needle felted rose. Roses complete, we boarded the bus for the Sandwich Creamery, where we learned about making a variety of cheeses and ice cream.

Barbara Hovey shared her love of flower arranging with the Gibson Center. She created these beautiful center pieces for our Dining Room Tables and our Valentine's Day Dance. Thank You Barbara!

In spite of the snowy weather, the Gibson Center celebrated the Mardi Gras in New Orleans style. Chef Rick prepared a delicious Seafood & Sausage Jambalaya, along with Broccoli with Hollandaise Sauce, Tomato Provencale, French Bread, and Bread Pudding Acadian. There was jazz music in the background. People dressed in the Mardi Gras Colors, Gold, Purple, and Green, wore beads and a few even wore costumes!

Ken Hall, one of the founding members of the Gibson Center, celebrated his birthday with his friends at the Gibson Center.

This is one of the many FUN funraisers at the Gibson Center. Karen does a fantastic job of finding all sorts of items that we just can not live without, and puts them up for auction. Chef Rick goes well beyond expectation and offers superb hor's d'ouvres. Fran sells prizes in balloons, George auctions off the really big items, and Joanne sells 50/50 tickets. Everyone has a great time, and through the generosity of the buisnesses and people in the community, money is raised for the Gibson Center.
