The students from the North Conway Day Care visited the Gibson Center before lunch. They read two books, The Scarey Tree, and the ABC Story. Then they sang two songs, The ABC's and Two Little Eyes. Afterwards they visited the members of the Gibson Center.

A few times a summer, the Gibson Kitchen Staff put together a Soup, Salad, and Sandwich Buffet. People enjoy creating their own Dagwood Sandwiches. The assortment of salads, the mouth watering soups, and the chance to build their own sandwiches attracts a great number of people.

Our Annual Hawaiian Sizzler Dance was enjoyed by all who attended. Most people dressed for the evening, wearing brightly colored outfits, mumus, and one "Car Wash Dress". Hostess Alice Clapp played a variety of Hawaiian, and ballroom tunes. A number of people donated items to our refreshment table, including Pepperidge Farm Cookies and the sweetest grapes of the season. Several items were donated to the Gibson Center Food Bank.

On the most perfect day for a boat ride, the Gibson Center traveled to Rye, New Hampshire, and boarded the Uncle Oscar for a ride to Star Island, of the Isles of Shoals. We had a walking tour of the island, a light lunch with the conference guests, and a beautiful ride home.

The Gibson Center had a wonderful day for our annual White Lake Picnic. The kitchen staff prepared a fantastic meal, the weather was just right, there were children playing in the water, the water was warm enough to swim, the game players brought cards and played alfresco, there was an after dinner sing-a-long. Every one had a grand time.
