For the close of National Senior Center Week, FX Hastings brought in his Karaoke equipment and entertained us during lunch. After lunch a few brave souls sang some songs. A few people danced as well.

This year the Gibson Center decided to create a scarecrow for the Settler's Green Scarecrow Contest. Several people helped create "Tillie". She will be on display at Settler's Green from September 28-October 9th. In addition to being judged by the judges, you will also be allowed to cast your vote for the People's Choise Scarecrow.

The 4 year olds from the North Conway Day Care visited the Gibson Center. Their teacher read them two stories: the Grumpy Morning, and The Shaggy Dog with a Terrible Itch. Next they sang and danced the Hokey Pokey, after that they visited with the people who had come early for lunch.

The Gibson Center has a display in the Agricultural Building at the Fryeburg Fair. The Fair is open to the public from Sunday, September 30- Sunday, October 7, 2007. The craft items on display were made by Gibson Center Members. Thanks to the ladies who are loaning us display items, and special thanks to Chick and Carl who are taking care of set up and dismanteling of the display.
The Gibson Center Display was awarded the blue ribbon, as best display for a Senior Center. "Nice work" to the ladies who are lending us items for the display.

The Gibson Gang traveled through Pinkham and Dixville Notches to the Balsams for a wonderful buffet lunch, and tour of the hotel and grounds. We followed the Conneticut River and traveled through Crawford Notch on the way home. We saw some pretty trees, the weather was perfect, warm and sunny.
