GIBSON GLEANINGS
July 9, 2010
By Barbara Ray

Did you ever have “one of those days”?  Well for me, it was one of those weekends.  It all started one evening with an ache in my lower back.  By the next morning I was walking around looking like the hunchback of Notre Dame.  I made a visit to the local clinic, got plenty of bed rest and am now able to walk in a normal, upright position!  It wasn’t one of my most exciting 4th of July weekends but… all’s well, that ends well.  Hope you had a good one.
Things went along much better here at the center this past weekend.  The weather was amazing and we had a great turnout for our annual craft fair.  Thanks to all who came out to support this fine event.  With the summer season in full swing, I want to let everyone know there will be a Summer Evening Ballroom Dance taking place this Wednesday, July 14th from 6:30 – 9:00 pm.  Jill is busy preparing the activity room for this fun event and Alice Clapp will be on hand to host the event, set up the music and help you with some great dance moves.  The cost is only $6 plus a canned good for our food pantry.  It’s a fun time with plenty of refreshments so we hope you will join us.
Have a good week, pray for our servicemen, the people of Haiti and those living along the Gulf coast.  God bless!
